VP, Sales – Mastercard Move (NAM) Overview- Do you enjoy building and leading a team that sells cutting edge technology into some of the largest banks, digital enablers, and merchants in North America? The North America Mastercard Move sales team develops and maintains relationships with key ecosystem players including remittance platforms, banks, gig platforms, large merchants, and digital enablers in support of their complex money movement needs. We bring innovative products and solutions to our customers to enhance their money movement offerings with world class card and non-card capabilities alike.
We are seeking an experienced sales leader to join the team to lead the Mastercard Move sales team. This team's objective is to scale across new and existing use cases and continue supporting one of the fastest growing portfolios in the company. Reporting to the Head of Transfer Solutions – North America, you will be responsible for growing and managing a team of strong product sales professionals who are passionate about helping our customers realize their ambitions. This role provides a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team to drive real impact and meaningful revenue, while transforming the way we engage with our key customers.

Job Description / Roles & Responsibilities
• Lead a team that forms and grows relationships with key customers across the Mastercard Move portfolio in North America. Engage with customers on a regular basis to identify opportunities to scale via:
o RFP responses
o Opening new use cases
o Selling Mastercard's world class cross-border and domestic disbursements capabilities
• Develop, implement, and own the sales strategy
• Own sales and revenue targets
• Partner with product and accounts teams to identify revenue growth opportunities via product innovation and a cutting edge roadmap
• Oversee the creation of “best practices” materials to guide the team and ensure consistency in customer communication and engagement
• Represent Mastercard in relevant external engagements including public speaking and conference settings
• Act as a player/coach by harnessing exceptional strategic selling, relationship management and business development skills along with the ability to quantify opportunities, develop sales strategies, and deliver results along with transferring those skills to your team
• Inform product roadmap by consolidating and sharing customer growth inhibitors with relevant product teams

All About You:

• Deep payments industry experience. Knowledge of domestic and/or cross-border disbursements and money movement
• Strong experience in sales of complex payments products or services to financial institutions, fintechs, and merchants
• Proven leadership skills and ability to build, motivate, and manage a team to meet key business objectives
• Experience managing complex pricing and contract negotiations
• Ability to form and articulate a strategic vision to a senior audience both internally and externally
• Expert relationship building and management skills. Ability to build trust and credibility with key customers and covney confidence, knowledge, and understanding of customer roadmaps and goals
• Effective Communications – story telling, visual presentation, thinking on your feet, handling customer objections and questions
• Influencing/Value Selling – understanding prospect needs and how they define value, adapting your message to the audience, illustrating value over features
• Sales- scoping, qualification, proposal writing, presentations, closing and customer agreements
• Solutions Development – presenting solutions to solve real pain points, clearly communicating value
• Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Pay Ranges

Purchase, New York: $235,000 - $375,000 USD
