Employee Services has the immediate need for a full-time Senior Counselor, Administrative Referral. The Counselor will provide telephonic support, coaching, training, resource coordination, and case management for our EAP members who are interested in professional development or have been referred via the Administrative Referral Program. This is a hybrid position, and the successful candidate may provide onsite support or training to client organizations and must have the ability to work in our Brooklyn, OH office as needed to see our members face to face. Responsibilities also include conducting telephonic triage, assessment, providing in the moment support and coordinating resources, seeing members for brief solution focused therapy and referral. 

Master's degree is the minimum academic requirement

PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP preferred.

The successful candidate must have an active, current, and unrestricted Behavioral Health Clinician license in the state of Ohio.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides professional development coaching and training to Members.
  • Coordinates and completes case management of Administrative Referrals.
  • Consults with Human Resources and supervisory personnel from client companies regarding employee issues and concerns and HR practice policy.
  • Conducts telephonic triage and assessment on issues including behavioral health, substance abuse, relationship, and work-life, to members and coordinates resources.
  • Consults with service providers to make referrals and complete session authorizations, follows cases to completion.
  • Orients, trains, mentors, assists, and provides feedback to Counselors, Administrative Referral.
  • May provide guidance to staff in the absence of Manager.
  • Maintains industry knowledge, ethical code, and licensure requirements in the state of licensure.
  • Provides referrals to service provider network and/or other resources as appropriate for financial concerns, legal concerns, personal assistant, and work-life requests.
  • Makes clinical determinations in adherence with Company risk policy and in the member and Company's best interest.
  • May participate in staffing matters such as interviewing and recommendations for hire, provides input regarding performance and training and development of staff.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

Master's degree in behavioral health field (social work, psychology, counseling, or related field) with 7 years post degree experience

PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP preferred.
