General Summary of Position
Collaborates with Care Transformation Organization (CTO) leadership to develop the organization's data management and analytics initiatives. Develops and implements data strategies, ensures data quality and integrity, and leverages analytics to drive business insights. Designs and conducts descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and optimization analyses to inform the CTO's mission and strategic planning. Serves as a subject matter expert for all such analyses. Serves as primary analytic liaison to CTO leadership, CTO supervisory staff, the IS department, Managed Care data analysis colleagues, and other stakeholders. Manages regulatory reporting and serves as a subject matter expert for Oracle/Cerner products (MedConnect) Epic and other software solutions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Remains abreast of ongoing changes and developments in regulations and standards which impact the CTO and ambulatory environment.
- Through analyses informs and contributes to development of strategies for optimal scoring/ financial return for various components of MDPCP regulatory reporting.
- Designs, builds, validates, documents, and delivers reports and analyses using a variety of front-end visualization and reporting tools. Designs and develops performance projections for leadership.
- Serves as liaison to managed care, ambulatory, regulatory, and quality improvement teams - eliciting needs determining appropriate analyses to meet those needs. Coordinate projects to deliver needed insights. Conducts analyses themselves in addition to coordinating with others.
- Develops and executes test plans to ensure error-free high-quality deliverables. Reviews information to identify and interpret any patterns or useful trends.
- Develops and maintains documentation related to requirements gathering, design and build, testing, and validation quality assurance and findings and interpretation.
- Actively looks for ways to improve and promote quality of deliverables work product and internal processes; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality.
- Leads efforts to integrate and transform data from various sources into a unified and useable format
- Supervises IS and data related initiatives and provides supervision and direction to associates.
- Adheres to established deadlines produces deliverables in a timely fashion and communicates barriers to timely delivery/deadline adherence immediately
Minimal Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required
- Master's degree in a related field preferred
- One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience
- 3-4 years Experience working with large healthcare data sets and conducting analyses to inform data-driven decision making required
- Experience with monitoring and analyses of ambulatory regulatory/ pay-for-performance measures required
- Participation in quality improvement efforts required
- Experience with Cerner millennium Cerner healtheintent/ healtheregistries preferred
- Experience with Epic preferred
- One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication both oral and written and interpersonal skills are required to collaborate and interact with a wide range of clinical technical analytical and business associates. Excellent organizational skills are required.
- Advanced analytical conceptual and technical problem-solving solving abilities are required. Candidates for this position should be able to spot trends and anomalies within data.
- Excellent attention to detail required.
- Proficiency with tools such as Business Objects, Cerner Command Language (CCL), PowerInsight, Python SQL databases.
- Knowledge of ambulatory quality programs and ability to maintain abreast of ongoing changes and developments
- Proficiency with programs such as Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint Microsoft Word SharePoint.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
This position has a hiring range of
USD $114,004.00 - USD $219,960.00 /Yr.
