About the Job
MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Cardiology Hospitalist to join our collaborative cardiovascular team in Baltimore, Maryland. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice inpatient cardiology in a well-established program while working alongside experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), cardiologists, surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary care teams.
As a 350-bed community teaching hospital and a major academic affiliate of Georgetown University, MedStar Franklin Square combines the strengths of academic medicine with the close-knit culture of a community hospital. Position Highlights
The Cardiology Hospitalist will provide comprehensive inpatient cardiovascular care, including:
- Managing inpatient cardiology services in collaboration with APPs
- Performing inpatient consultations,
- Rounding on hospitalized cardiology patients
- Coordinating care with interventional cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, hospitalists, and other specialists
- Caring for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and efforts to optimize patient care delivery
- Contributing to physician and staff education
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
- Echocardiography, and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) training required
- Strong clinical expertise in the management of complex cardiac patients
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams
- Eligible to work in the United States
- A demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care
