About the Job
MedStar Medical Group Anesthesiology is seeking a physician assistant (PA) within Pre-Anesthesia Testing (PAT). This position, based in the District of Columbia or Baltimore region, supports MedStar Health system hospitals by providing high-quality preoperative clinical care. The provider will collaborate across teams — including PAT leadership, anesthesia, surgery, and hospital staff — to ensure timely and effective optimization of patients preparing for surgery.
Experienced physician assistants are preferred with at least five years or more PA-experience in ambulatory and inpatient settings, post-PA graduation. This is a great role for a primary-care or surgical PA to consider. Applicants with previous RN experience in PACU, Pre-Op, Cardiology or Surgery are encouraged to apply as well. New physician assistant graduates will not be considered.

Schedule & Work Structure:
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8-hour days
Hybrid/primarily remote, with occasional on-site availability in the DC/MD/VA area
No holidays, weekends, after-hours, or call
Includes several months of comprehensive training
