You will care for critically injured and complex patients who need advanced nursing skills, vigilance, and compassion at every step of their recovery.

 

This is a role for nurses who thrive on critical thinking, collaboration, and making a real difference when patients and families need it most. From burns and trauma to medically complex conditions, you will help stabilize, monitor, and guide patients toward recovery while working alongside a multidisciplinary team of experts.

What You'll Do

Provide advanced nursing care for patients with acute burns, traumatic injuries, and complex medical conditions.


Continuously assess, anticipate, and respond to changes in patient status using clinical judgment and evidence-based practice.


Collaborate with physicians, nurse leaders, and the interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans.


Serve as a patient and family advocate, communicating clearly and compassionately throughout the care journey.


Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately to support continuity of care and regulatory compliance.


Participate in quality improvement initiatives, safety programs, and patient-centered practice enhancements.


Mentor and support new team members through orientation, education, and ongoing professional development.

What You Bring

Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. If prepared at the associate level, enrollment in a BSN program within 12 months and completion within 4 years is required.


Experience: Prior clinical nursing experience preferred, particularly in critical care, trauma, or burn care.


Licensure and Certifications: Active RN license in the District of Columbia (DC is not part of the compact).
BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross within 90 days of hire.
Additional specialty certifications may be required depending on department needs.

USD $40.17 - USD $88.17 /Hr.
