Medical Surgical Telemetry Regional Float Pool

• Pay: Base pay of $50/hour plus $5 or $10/hour scheduling incentive, $3/hour charge/preceptor pay
• Units: Work Med Surg areas such as Med Surg, Med Surg Tele, Neuro Med Surg, Renal Med Surg, Inpatient Rehab, Observation, Orthopedics, Med Surg-IMC, ED Boarders, Tele, etc.
• Chose three of these hospitals
  • MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center
  • MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital
  • MedStar Harbor Hospital
  • MedStar Montgomery Medical Center
  • MedStar Union Memorial Hospital
• Schedule Requirements: PRN ROTATING (Days/Nights)
  • Minimum of four 12-hour shifts per 6-week schedule
  • Two of the 4 shifts are weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
  • 1 holiday a year
  • 1 hard-to-fill shift per year
  • No more than 50% of shifts to be worked at Home hospital (usually the site closest to you)

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 2+ years of RN experience required; two plus years of RN experience in Medical Surgical Telemetry strongly preferred. Travel/Agency and/or multiple healthcare organization nursing experience highly preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross) upon 90 days after starting. ACLS and NIHSS strongly preferred.
• The ideal candidate will have worked as a travel nurse or multiple healthcare organizations.
