Chief Advanced Practice Provider – Interventional Cardiology - Inpatient & Outpatient

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our Interventional Cardiology team in a Chief APP role.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years post-graduate experience

• At least 2 years in a leadership or professional engagement role

• Prior cardiology experience required

• Must be PA or ACNP (FNPs not eligible due to inpatient focus)

Position Highlights:

• Provide direct inpatient and outpatient care in collaboration with interventional cardiologists

• Oversee daily patient rounds, admissions, and discharges

• Lead, mentor, and onboard APP team members

• Manage APP scheduling, staffing, and workforce planning

• Serve as liaison between APPs, physicians, and hospital leadership

• Support quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives

• Schedule includes weekends, nights, and holidays

• Role is approximately 80% clinical / 20% administrative

• Oversight of ~30 APPs across interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, electrophysiology, and advanced heart failure

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education/Training

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.

• Min. 7 years of experience

• License/Certification/Registration

• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
