General Summary of Position
ERP Solution Architect with extensive PeopleSoft expertise and cloud migration experience leads the design, implementation, and optimization of ERP solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to develop end-to-end business process flows, communicate complex technical solutions to business stakeholders, and ensure seamless ERP integrations. Drives the transformation of business processes and resolving business challenges through innovative ERP solutions, while working closely with cross-functional teams and senior leaders. Ensures that architected solutions align with all relevant viewpoints, including application, network, desktop, server, and storage. Collaborates with other architects, vendors, and project teams to support the implementation of new solutions. Coordinates requirements gathering, reviews vendor-provided solutions, and delivers expert analysis to assist in developing a strategic ERP roadmap for MedStar Health


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works closely with business stakeholders to clearly understand business needs and challenges. Translates business requirements into scalable and effective current and future ERP solutions. Supports the development of a long-term ERP roadmap aligned with organizational growth and strategic initiatives.
  • Creates and presents end-to-end business process flows to C-suite executives, making complex technical concepts easily understandable for non-technical stakeholder and demonstrating how ERP solutions optimize key business functions across Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and other domains.
  • Assesses technology through the understanding of emerging trends, disruptions, and how it layers onto existing and evolving business practices.
  • Leads the technical evaluation and selection of software products and services. Oversees ERP cloud assessments, develops actionable roadmaps, and drives migration initiatives to transition ERP applications from legacy on-premise systems to cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud or other industry-leading solutions.
  • Provides enterprise guidance and big picture thought leadership by delivering current state architecture documentation, future state product architecture, contributions to proof-of-concept implementation, and domain-specific application architecture strategy.
  • Provides oversight and support to ensure implementations are cost effective, optimized towards long-term sustainability and support, and align with high-level business objectives.
  • Designs, selects, and oversees the implementation of technology solutions aligned with business needs and the broader enterprise architectural vision.
  • Provides counsel on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes. Serves as a trusted advisor, ensuring ERP solutions align with the strategic goals of the business while meeting operational requirements.
  • Develops data migration strategies, ensuring the seamless transfer of historical data from legacy systems to cloud ERP solutions with minimal disruption.
  • Partners with technical leaders to uphold ERP system security, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize performance.
  • Supports the development of a long-term ERP roadmap aligned with organizational growth objectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborates with technical leaders to establish principles and solution patterns that align technical decisions with the enterprise's target architecture.
  • Contributes to the achievement of established divisional and departmental goals and objectives. Adheres to departmental policies and information systems standards, and ensures compliance with applicable governmental regulations and accreditation requirements.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent combination of education and experience) required and
    • Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science preferred

    Experience

    • 8-10 years Solution Architect (or equivalent) role on PeopleSoft applications and technologies required and
    • 5-7 years Advance-level experience developing technical presentations which include architectural diagrams and graphics. required and
    • 5-7 years Program Management Experience for ERP Implementation, Upgrades, Cloud Migration required and
    • 5-7 years Experience with multi-cloud application integrations required and
    • 1-2 years Cloud ERP Migration or Implementation Experience required and
    • 3-4 years Experience writing and presenting business case including experience developing basis of estimates and budgetary estimates. preferred and
    • 3-4 years Experience of managing cloud assessment initiatives preferred
    • One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.

    Licenses and Certifications

    • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project or program management credential, certification, education, or training required

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Visio, with the ability to design, document, and communicate complex business process flows. Skilled in creating clear, detailed, and visually compelling process maps that facilitate understanding, collaboration, and decision-making across teams and stakeholders
    • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical business leaders.
    • Strategic thinking, able to connect technology with broader business objectives
    • Project leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion

    This position has a hiring range of $93,142 - $175,968
