General Summary of Position
The Lead Endoscopy Technician provides advanced support, orientation, training, and supervision for technicians, and advanced care to patients during pediatric procedures.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required and
- Specialized and/or advanced clerical, technical or other vocational training acquired during 1-2 years of additional job-related training required and
- Associate's degree preferred
Experience
- 1-2 years Gastroenterology Technician training required and
- 1-2 years 2 years experience as a technician in rendering pediatric procedures required
Licenses and Certifications
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required within 90 Days required and
- Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary within 90 Days required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Requires the use of specialized medical equipment (i.e., EEG, EKG, blood analyzer), or data processing equipment (i.e., tape drives, consoles)
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
This position has a hiring range of $22.04 - $38.41
