Mercy Clinic Joplin is seeking a full-time BE/BC Hematologist/Oncologist to join our well-established, Commission on Cancer–accredited cancer center located in Joplin, Missouri. Mercy Hospital Joplin is a modern, 240-bed facility featuring an integrated cancer center designed to deliver comprehensive, patient‑centered oncology care. The position is available due to a planned retirement, offering a quick ramp-up and an immediate, established patient base.
Position Highlights
- Join a team of 2Hem/Onc physicians, 2 full-time Oncology Nurse Practitioners, and 1 Radiation Oncologist
- Support from nurse navigators and four dedicated oncology nurses in clinic
- 1:4 call schedule with a 4-day work week
- Single-hospital coverage—hospital is directly connected to the clinic
- Comprehensive cancer program accredited by the Commission on Cancer
- Weekly multidisciplinary tumor board onsite
- Clinic adjacent to Infusion Center with onsite pharmacy support
- Robust clinical research program, including trials through NCI and the Guardian Research Network, with opportunities to conduct industry-sponsored trials and scholarly work
- Teaching opportunities with Kansas City University, including a stipend for precepting medical students
- Systemwide Epic EMR

Compensation & Benefits
- $800,000 guaranteed for two years
- $100,000 in recruitment incentives
- 4 weeks of vacation, 6 paid holidays, and 1 week of CME during guarantee period
