Join Mercy Clinic Urology at Southfork! As a Medical Assistant, you'll work closely with our providers and clinical team to support patients throughout their care. From rooming patients and preparing for visits to assisting with procedures, medication reconciliation, testing, and care coordination, you'll play an important role in creating a smooth and supportive experience for every patient.
This is a great opportunity for an MA who enjoys hands-on patient care, variety throughout the day, and working closely with providers as part of a collaborative specialty team.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Preferred Experience: One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by the clinic
- New hires must attend MA Clinic Academy training
What You'll Do
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Assist physicians and APPs with patient care and procedures
- Prepare and maintain instruments and clinical equipment
- Prepare and stock exam rooms
- Perform point-of-care testing
- Complete medication reconciliation and administer injections as appropriate
- Assist with basic in-basket messages and medication refill requests
- Complete documentation and scanning
- Communicate patient needs and updates with physicians and APPs
- Assist with appointment scheduling and medical record requests
- Enter diagnostic and ancillary orders
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, PPE, quality, and safety standards

Physical Requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
