Find your calling at Mercy! Mercy Hospital Southeast is seeking a strategic and collaborative Administrative Executive to lead designated service lines and operational areas. This executive partners closely with Medical Directors and Department Leaders to advance clinical excellence, drive growth, and position key service lines as regional centers of excellence.

This role is responsible for translating strategy into action—ensuring alignment with Mercy's mission while delivering strong operational, financial, and quality outcomes. Position Details: Key Accountabilities

Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Lead short- and long-term planning efforts aligned with Mercy's mission and future healthcare trends
  • Partner in hospital-wide strategic planning and major organizational initiatives
  • Drive service line growth through program development, innovation, and market-aligned strategies

Operational & Service Line Excellence

  • Collaborate with Medical Directors and Department Leaders to advance service lines as regional leaders
  • Improve patient experience, quality outcomes, and operational efficiency
  • Monitor and act on quality, safety, and service metrics to drive continuous improvement

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Coach and develop Department Directors and Supervisors to enhance performance and engagement
  • Foster a culture that supports recruitment, retention, and professional growth
  • Establish and uphold standards for clinical and leadership competency

Financial & Resource Stewardship

  • Lead development and oversight of operating and capital budgets
  • Ensure fiscal accountability while optimizing staffing, systems, and resource utilization
  • Plan and implement long-term improvements in care delivery and efficiency

Compliance & Organizational Alignment

  • Ensure adherence to Joint Commission standards and all regulatory requirements
  • Implement Mercy's philosophy, goals, and objectives across assigned areas
  • Represent service lines in strategic planning and organizational decision-making

Collaboration & Integration

  • Build strong partnerships across physicians, leaders, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Lead through influence, effective communication, and collaborative problem-solving
Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience at Director level or above
  • Proven ability to lead service lines, drive strategic initiatives, and influence across complex organizations
