Are you a licensed pharmacist looking for a flexible opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while supporting multiple pharmacy locations? We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist – Retail Floater (PRN) to join our team.

In this role, you will travel between our retail pharmacy locations in Lebanon, St. Robert, and Rolla, providing clinical expertise, medication management, and outstanding customer service. You'll collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

Must be willing to travel between Lebanon, St. Robert, and Rolla, Missouri.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Pharmacy Services
  • Oversee the preparation, labeling, dispensing, and delivery of medications.
  • Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, dosing, route, schedule, allergies, contraindications, therapeutic duplications, and drug interactions.
  • Monitor patient medication therapy and provide recommendations to optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Identify, resolve, prevent, and document medication-related issues through collaboration with providers.
  • Provide medication counseling and drug information to patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Respond to complex medication therapy questions and clinical consultations.
  • Ensure accuracy of pharmacy technician work, including medication preparation and compounding.
  • Deliver Medication Therapy Services through patient assessments and evidence-based recommendations.
Leadership & Operations
  • Prioritize workflow to meet patient, staff, and operational needs while maintaining exceptional service standards.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and professional standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance pharmacy operations and patient care.
Professional Development
  • Participate in onboarding, training, and mentorship of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, residents, students, and support staff.
  • Maintain professional competency through continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative team environment through open communication and constructive feedback.
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited School or College of Pharmacy
Licensure
  • Current Pharmacist License issued by the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
Preferred Experience
  • Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred but not required

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, visitor, and coworker information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Adhere to all organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Support patient safety, medication-use safety, infection control, security, and risk management initiatives.
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and pharmacy regulations.
  • Utilize internal and external information to support continuous improvement in pharmacy operations and patient care.
