Overview:

  • The EMS Liaison Educator will promote growth, provide educational assistance, and will be the liaison between hospital facilities and EMS agencies.
  • This position will assist in EMS education planning, conduct audits on patient care and documentation, oversee patient transport follow-up, and facilitate the establishment of policies and procedures for EMS districts, reporting to Mercy Hospitals.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of an accredited E.M.T. & Paramedic program.
  • Experience: At least 3 years EMS prehospital experience.
  • Licensure: Current license in state of practice as EMT/Paramedic.
  • Certifications: Hazmat Awareness, BLS for Healthcare Providers, NIMS 100, 200, 700 and 800 within 90 days of hire.
  • Physical Requirements:  Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly.
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Education:Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: AHA Instructor experience, such as CPR or ACLS instructor.
