Find your calling at Mercy! Assists Managers in the supervision of nursing unit and other department activities. Acts as a clinical and administrative resource for staff. Represent Administration when they are not here. Serves as the Patient Placement supervisor with all admissions going through them and being placed to the right division. Monitor ED throughput with every patient. Oversees the staffing of each inpatient nursing unit based on census, acuity and staffing grids. Adjusts staffing accordingly. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details: House Supervisor

Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO

Department: Nursing Administration

Status: Full-Time - 36 hours/week

Shift: 12 hour Nights

Qualifications:
  • Education: Completion of accredited nursing program.

  • Licensure: Currently licensed in Missouri as a Registered Nurse. Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current Missouri RN license and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed. Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

  • Experience: Three to five years hospital nursing experience. Previous leadership/management experience preferred.

  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS prior to completing orientation.

  • Other: Demonstrates skill in human relations and communications is preferred. Must have broad understanding of the patient care process and be able to demonstrate clinical expertise.
