Our Ophthalmic Assistant Internship Program is a structured, hands-on training pathway designed for individuals interested in starting a career in eye care. This paid internship provides practical experience in a clinical setting while preparing participants for future certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant.

Interns will work closely with experienced ophthalmic technicians, providers, and clinical leaders to gain the skills needed to support patient care, perform diagnostic testing, and assist with clinical procedures.

Program Details

  • Training Provided: On‑the‑job clinical training and mentorship
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong interest in healthcare or ophthalmology
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Professionalism, reliability, and teamwork mindset
  • Previous medical or customer service experience is helpful but not required
