We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality outpatient care in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What You'll Do

As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans that help children maximize their functional abilities and independence.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Treatment

  • Evaluate patients' functional abilities and identify relevant medical, developmental, and psychosocial factors.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and outcomes.
  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions tailored to each child's needs.
  • Modify treatment plans based on patient progress and response to therapy.
  • Utilize support staff effectively to optimize patient outcomes.

Family & Patient Education

  • Provide ongoing education to patients and caregivers throughout the treatment process.
  • Prepare families for successful transition and discharge through clear, practical guidance.

Documentation & Communication

  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, support staff, patients, and families.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient conferences.

Program Development & Leadership

  • Serve as a clinical resource for therapy staff.
  • Assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program development efforts.
  • Support community outreach, workshops, and marketing activities.
  • Act as a clinical instructor and mentor for therapy students when appropriate.

Safety & Compliance

  • Deliver treatment in accordance with state practice standards, professional ethics, and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow infection prevention protocols and risk management procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with all departmental policies and quality improvement standards.

Professional Growth

  • Stay current on advances in occupational therapy and pediatric treatment approaches.
  • Share knowledge and clinical expertise with colleagues and team members.
Qualifications Required
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility for licensure in the hiring state.
    • Candidates may practice under a temporary license for up to 90 days, where permitted.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations.
Preferred
  • National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Pediatric outpatient experience.
  • Experience working with children with developmental, sensory, neurological, or physical challenges.
