Overview:

 

Responsible for directing the operations of the Acute Care Hospital Pharmacy. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards; directs and controls the purchase and inventory maintenance of all pharmaceuticals and related substances/supplies; directs and participates in the department's planning, revenue analysis, budgeting, education, and human resource management activities.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum three years of practice experience is required. Minimum of 3 years in Pharmacy leadership required.
  • Required Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) or higher degree in pharmacy.
  • Licensure: Requires current pharmacist license from state(s) in which he/she practices. Must also maintain Medication Therapy Services (MTS) certification on the license.
  • Other: Past experiences must have demonstrated leadership ability, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to apply sound principles of management and supervision.
