Find your calling at Mercy! The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to deliver safe, effective, patient‑centered care. This position maintains professional accountability for the care provided to assigned patients and evaluates the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other direct caregivers. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensures protection of patient rights, and maintains confidentiality of all patient information. Qualifications:
Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure
Responsible for obtaining and maintaining an active RN license in the state of hire and/or compact licensure, meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements.
Experience
Experience requirements may vary by unit; relevant clinical experience preferred.
Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.
One or more of the following certifications may be required based on the position or unit, or must be obtained within the department‑required timeframe:
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support
NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program
ENPC – Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course
TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course
CPHON – Certified Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse
OCN – Oncology Certified Nurse
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support
PEARS – Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization
S.T.A.B.L.E. – Six Assessment & Care Modules
C‑EFM – Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification
Other unit‑specific certifications as required
Physical Requirements
Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Prolonged standing and walking required during each shift.
Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform essential job duties.
