Join our Pain Therapy team, where you'll provide specialized nursing care, coordinate treatment plans, and support patients through their pain management journey in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Overview

As a Registered Nurse in Pain Therapy, you will utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. In partnership with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, you will coordinate care, advocate for patients, and contribute to positive clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Excellence
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
  • Perform comprehensive physical, psychosocial, and spiritual assessments.
  • Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to providers and care team members.
  • Administer medications safely and accurately according to established policies and procedures.
  • Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to pain management.
  • Provide patient and family education, including treatment plans and discharge instructions.
Care Coordination
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Coordinate referrals, follow-up services, and ongoing treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the medical record.
  • Communicate patient goals, progress, and care needs to appropriate team members.
Safety & Quality
  • Adhere to infection prevention and medication administration standards.
  • Promote patient safety through proper identification, fall prevention, and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and service excellence.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect patient rights at all times.
Teamwork & Leadership
  • Serve as a clinical resource and preceptor as needed.
  • Support department workflow and collaborate with team members to meet patient needs efficiently.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Qualifications Required
  • Current RN License or RN Temporary Permit in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
Preferred
  • Previous nursing experience in pain management, ambulatory care, clinic, procedural, or specialty practice settings.
  • Additional certifications as required by department policy.
