The Senior Development Officer - Legacy Giving is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive planned giving program to secure future philanthropic support for Mercy Health Foundation. This role will focus on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors who wish to make legacy gifts through wills, trusts, charitable gift annuities, and other planned giving vehicles. The Director will serve as the subject matter expert on planned giving strategies and work collaboratively with Foundation leadership, gift officers, and other stakeholders to integrate legacy giving into overall fundraising efforts. Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFRE preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, with at least 3 years focused on planned giving.
• Strong knowledge of estate planning, tax law, and charitable giving vehicles.
• Proven ability to cultivate and close complex gifts.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and strategically within a team environment.
