Find your calling at Mercy! The Senior Sonographer proficiently operates imaging equipment and software, mostly ultrasound equipment, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include serving as a lead, when direct leadership is unavailable, serving as a resource, and assisting in training. The Senior Sonographer requires proficiency and thorough understanding of operating imaging equipment and procedures while ensuring patient safety and maintaining imaging standards. Minimum Requirements:
Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours
Experience: 2 years of relevant experience
License: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
Certifications/Registries: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI and 4 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area OR 2 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area and 7 years of applicable experience; Basic Life Support (BLS)
In the state of Arkansas, ARDMS certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), OR Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification as a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) OR ARRT certification in Vascular Sonography (VS) is required

Physical Requirements:
• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
