Minimum Qualifications
Education: High school diploma.
Experience: 3 years of experience in the Cancer Registry.
Certifications: Current Certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) and in good standing.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and data abstraction tools.
• Strong understanding of oncology terminology and clinical workflows.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to healthcare data (e.g., HIPAA).
• Knowledge of oncology diseases and processes.
• Knowledge of American College of Surgeons requirements for cancer program accreditation.
