NJM has a Treasury Analyst opportunity that will play a key role within the organization and Finance Department performing daily cash management activities, cash forecasting, and ensuring sufficient funds to cover daily working capital. This includes but is not limited to maintaining daily cash forecast, cash position, settlements, intercompany transfers, and ensuring all bank accounts are reconciled timely, and maintaining bank account information. The Treasury Analyst is highly motivated, resourceful, a proactive thinker, and detail oriented.

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in our West Trenton office and 2 days can be work from home.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Essential functions of this job are listed below in order of priority. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential duties. Regular and predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of the job.

  • Review, analyze, and reconcile daily corporate bank transactions for multiple bank accounts including reconciliation of BAI files and trouble shoot any errors.
  • Daily review and approval ACH debit and positive pay exceptions.
  • Daily cash management including cash position, cash activity, and cash flow trend analysis.
  • Recommend organizational funding needs to management.
  • Prepare daily, twelve-month projections to determine cash flow for multiple companies, including gathering investment details, operational costs, and known disbursements.
  • Assists with quarterly board reporting processes.
  • Performs monthly reconciliations on multiple accounts related to Treasury Operations to ensure accurate reporting in financial statements.
  • Processes intercompany transfers and loan movements as required.
  • Completes analysis on outstanding checks for various accounts.
  • Responsible for maintaining current and accurate list of bank accounts and assists with opening/closing of accounts, signatory updates, and record keeping.
  • Review and respond to inquiries in a timely and accurate manner and assists with daily treasury investigations for both internal and external inquires, including audit requests.
  • Recommend and support opportunities for process improvements/cost-savings.
  • Maintains and updates operational processes within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures. Stay abreast of banking regulations and changes within financial markets.
  • Assists with preparing annual budget.
  • Monitors budget variances and provides explanation to management.
  • Monitors vendor SLAs to ensure they are being met, performs analysis to determine potential refund processing.
  • Supports projects as appropriate and other Treasury duties as directed.
  • Prepares reports as requested.
  • Cross-train to learn all functions of the department.

Required Qualifications: Knowledge, skills & abilities, experience, minimum & desired education, certification and/or license requirements.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting, Treasury, or Finance field.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude, dependable, motivated, and reliable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Banking Software.

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Pay Range: $70,444-$81,849

Eligible full-time employees receive a competitive Total Rewards package, including but not limited to a 401(k) with employer match up to 8% and additional service-based contributions, Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, Life and Disability coverage, generous PTO, Paid Sick Leave, and paid parental leave in addition to state-mandated leave.
