Description
The Stock Services Workforce Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Stock Services department, including receiving, inventory control, stock distribution, courier functions, fleet-vehicle support, and mail transport activities. This position provides direct supervision and guidance to the Stock Services Courier/Driver-Stock Clerk staff, insuring accurate inventory management, timely deliveries across the NJM campus, safe driving practices and high-level customer service. The Stock Services Workforce Supervisor ensures compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and departmental standards while driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:15 pm

Supervisor Responsibilities
- Provide daily supervision, scheduling, and task assignments for Stock Services staff.
- Oversee performance, provide coaching, conduct evaluations and support professional development.
- Ensure team compliance with inventory procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
- Lead and participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees.
- Monitor workload, prioritize department activities, and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Maintain a positive, collaborative team environment and address performance or conduct issues as needed.
Operational Oversight & Inventory Management
- Supervise all receiving operations to ensure accurate inspection, counting, and documentation of deliveries.
- Ensure that inventory items are properly transferred, stored, and tracked within the physical and system-based inventory locations.
- Ensure stockroom inventory controls are in place and adhered to.
- Communicate the delivery of stocked items with appropriate vendors to ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Investigate vendor discrepancies, delivery issues, and product variances; communicate finding to appropriate departments.
- Oversee timely fulfillment and delivery of stock orders to internal requestors while upholding customer service expectations.
- Monitor and audit inventory management software (Workday) activity, including requisition approvals, receiving entries, serialized item logging, cycle counts, adjustments and required reporting.
- Ensure safe and compliant operation of manual and electric pallet jacks and other equipment.
- Support the development and maintenance of organized, efficient, and compliant stockroom areas.
Courier, Driver & Fleet Oversight
- Oversee the daily courier/driver operations performed by staff, ensuring punctual and safe transport of cargo and/or passengers.
- Ensure all vehicle loading, unloading, and delivery activities meet safety and company standards.
Departmental Support & Additional Duties
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery.
- Generate and review departmental activity reports, inventory reports, and metrics as required.
- Serve as the operational point of contact for internal departments requiring Stock Services support.
- Function as a backup to Stock Services staff completing their assigned tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications: Knowledge, skills & abilities, experience, minimum & desired education, certification and/or license requirements.
- 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- 2-4 years of experience in inventory, warehouse, stock, or related operations.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize, adjust to changing demands, and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and stand or sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain requirements for company fleet driving.
- Ability to access all federal/government buildings.
- Proficient with MS Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supervising stockroom, warehouse, inventory, or courier operations.
- Prior inventory management system experience.
- Knowledge of Workday Financials a plus.
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.
