Description
At NorthBay Health the C/T Technologist performs general radiographic studies, according to established Q.A. criteria. Scans and organizes images, completes required paper work and charges. Responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations. Assists and instructs patients during examinations. Performs bedside radiography. Assists with clerical duties. Cleans and inspects equipment prior to use. Reports equipment malfunctions.
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an AMA approved radiology course or training and experience prior to 2000.
Licensure:
- Current CACRT with Fluoroscopic permit.
- Possession of a venipuncture permit or documented venipuncture training prior to January 1, 2013, or possession of a venipuncture permit with 10 venipunctures after January 1, 2013, and venipunctures completed within 1 month of hire.
- AHA or equivalent BLS Certification required.
Experience:
- Two or more years of experience in general radiology, at least one year of C/T.
Skills:
- Some clerical and computer experience.
- Practices principles of ALARA.
Work Hours:
- Total Hours: At least four (4) shifts each month, or more as determined by the department's per diem availability standard and process
- Shift: 12-hour shifts
- Depend on shift assignment
Compensation:
- 10% per diem differential included in salary range
