About this PositionResponsible for oversight and management of the day-to-day operation of the department. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and institutional policies as applicable. Develops short and long-term program goals and objectives; develops and monitors annual operating budget.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's
Human Relations, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or similar degree. (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- 1-3 years experience working with diverse student groups with a variety of resource needs, including homelessness, addiction recovery, prison-diversion, and/or similar programming.
- 1-3 years experience in budget management.
- 1-3 years experience in developing, coordinating, and facilitating activities and/or services and records management.
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the justice system and justice involved individuals.
- High degree of integrity; ability to work in a sensitive, highly confidential and professional environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly, and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information, give/receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately with all students, faculty, staff and community partners.
- Exhibit problem solving skills beyond a set of instructions and adapt to changes when necessary.
- Ability to use analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret written policies and procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities imposed by frequent deadlines, peak workloads, and public/student contact.
- Passion for assisting customers and representing the OSU-OKC and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.
- Demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior.
- Directs all activities for the OSU-OKC Center for Social Innovation program in order to accomplish the program's objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Hire, train, supervise and evaluate the performance of department staff.
- Develops and implements effective recruiting strategy aimed at accepting students who meet the predetermined requirements for increased likelihood of program completion.
- Directs the creation of personalized learning and development plans for participants taking into account current OSU-OKC offerings, and partner training facility offerings.
- Creates, maintains, and applies continuous improvement processes for the growth, retention and learning objectives for the participants to deliver skills necessary for long term employability.
- Leads the design, development, facilitation, and evaluation of all program services and effectiveness such as participant onboarding, progress toward goals, and retention in the program in partnership with Institutional Effectiveness & Accreditation.
- Complies with federal, state, and OSU-OKC policies, authorization of expenditures, budgeting and record keeping.
- Collaborates with OSU-OKC TRIO programs to help participants understand campus and community resources to assist in growth, retention, and a positive student experience.
- Directs the maintenance of administrative records for the program in accordance with guidelines and requirements of institutional policy and partnering agencies.
- Prepares, files, and submits all required reports to the OSU-OKC administration and other authorities as required in a timely manner.
- Serves as the program central contact with OSU-OKC Administration, faculty, staff, students, and community.
- Creates data collection plans, processes, and systems to measure pre and post program outcomes per student focused on retention, growth, and achieving learning objectives.
- Creates student application, client profiles, and systems for tracking metrics for reporting that drives process improvement and retention.
- Completes all mandatory training and participates in a minimum of two professional development opportunities each year.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:- Must be able to work flexible hours to include some nights and weekends.
- Work is primarily work that will be performed in an office environment with a significant amount of public contact, in person, by telephone, via email, and various communication platforms.
- In-state travel to include exposure to outside conditions as relates to program cultural events and activities. Occasional overnight stay may be required.
- Occasional out-of-state travel for trainings.
- Duties require extended periods of sitting, talking and listening.
- Duties require extensive use of computers, telephone and other office equipment.
- Requires possible lifting of up to 25 lbs. (If an object weights more than 45 lbs., OSU-Oklahoma City requires this to be a two-person lift).
