Site Description:
London Health Sciences is a large multi-site healthcare organization serving patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals, providing acute care, specialized medical services, and research facilities. The site includes patient care units, outpatient clinics, diagnostic and treatment areas, administrative offices, and public spaces. With continuous 24/7 operations and high volumes of patients and visitors, the hospital requires a consistently clean, safe, and accessible environment that supports patient care, infection control, and efficient day-to-day operations.
Position: Mobile Patrol Security Guard
Site: London Health Science Centre - Victoria & University Campus
Status: Full Time
Hours: Monday - Friday (06:30 - 14:30 hours)
Pay Rate: $18.54/hr
Overtime Method: Employment Standards Act - calculating after 88 hours bi-weekly

Working on assigned shifts, you will work full time shifts providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents. You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents, as well as respond to coded emergencies in a quick and efficient manner. You should display excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance. In this role, it is essential that you are physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time. You will be driving and patrolling the hospital grounds in a marked company patrol vehicle responding to all incidents on hospital property.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid G or G2 Class Driver's License with preferred driving experience of 3 years
- Must provide a clean drivers abstract
- Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
- Standard First Aid, CPR Level C (WSIB Approved)
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact, and diplomacy
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
