Job Skills / Requirements We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in driving growth through client acquisition and market expansion. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing and executing business development initiatives, managing both inbound and outbound prospecting strategies, and building relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a strong background in service industry sales, and a proven ability to lead both strategy and execution. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with organizational goals and revenue targets
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new business opportunities through market analysis, competitive intelligence, and lead generation initiatives
- Oversee prospecting efforts including phone/email follow ups and networking activities
- Track and report on pipeline development, lead conversion metrics, and campaign effectiveness using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot)
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, key decision-makers, and industry influencers
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and market presence
- Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, and account management teams to ensure alignment across growth initiatives and proposal development
- Lead the preparation of presentations, RFP responses, and tailored pitches for key opportunities
- Maintain a deep knowledge of Paladin's service offerings and the broader security services market to position the company competitively
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships in a service industry. Experience in the physical security industry is an asset.
- Demonstrated success in building and closing complex deals and exceeding revenue targets
- Proficient in CRM software and sales performance reporting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle rejection, and stay motivated
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Competitive base salary ($70,000-$80,000) + commission
