Site Description:
Reporting to the Security Operations Lead, the Mobile Officer is integral to the functioning of Paladins field operations and business continuity. In this dynamic role, officers are required to have superior time management and multitasking skills, as well as a propensity for a high level of customer service. Mobile officers are required to work independently while maintaining coordination amongst coworkers; they are required to be both flexible and adaptable.
Position Details:
Position: Part-Time Non Healthcare Mobile Security Guard
Site: Mobile Patrols, St. John's area
Hours: 16 hours per week (8 hour shifts)
Schedule: Fridays & Saturdays | 2230 – 0630 hours (10:30 PM – 6:30 AM)
Payrate: $ 20.00/hour

Key responsibilities:
- Patrol Grounds: Conduct regular mobile patrols of assigned sites, including parking areas, to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor Surveillance Systems: Operate security cameras and alarm systems, reporting suspicious activity as required.
- Access Control: Monitor and control entry points to ensure only authorized individuals access restricted areas.
- Respond to Emergencies: Act quickly in emergency situations such as fire alarms, security threats, or other incidents.
- Customer Service: Provide professional assistance to tenants, visitors, and staff as required.
- Conflict Resolution: De-escalate tense situations and resolve conflicts professionally.
- Report Writing: Accurately document daily activities, incidents, and accidents.
Prerequisites:

- Valid Criminal Record Check
- Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (CSA-approved vendor)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Clean Driver's Abstract (required)
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience in Canada
- English fluency (oral and written)
- Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Applicants without these may complete Paladin's UoF/MOAB pre-hire training
- Training is unpaid; Paladin covers costs with a 6-month commitment
High School Diploma
First Aid, CPR Level C
