Site Description:
Great Lakes Copper is an industrial manufacturing facility specializing in copper tube production and distribution. The site includes production lines, warehouse areas, and shipping/receiving zones that require perimeter patrols and access control. Security staff help safeguard equipment, inventory, and personnel while supporting operational safety protocols.
Position: Security Guard
Site: Great Lakes Copper
Site Address: 1010 Clarke Road, London, ON N5Y 5S6
Status: Part Time
Hours: Saturday and Sunday (12AM to 8AM)
Pay Rate: $18.55/hr
Posting Date: April 13th, 2026
Internal Closing Date: April 20th, 2026
External Closing Date: May 15th, 2026
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement - calculating after 88 hours bi-weekly
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Previous security experience is an asset
- Post Secondary education in a Law Enforcement/Security program from a recognized college preferred
- Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy
- First Aid, CPR Level C
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
The day-to-day work activities include, but are not limited to:
- Control entry and access to the plant and maintain accurate logs of those entering and leaving the plant
- Report safety non-compliances and all incidents to specified Great Lakes Copper representative
- Aid in incident mitigation and investigations when required
- Maintain a helpful and professional affiliation with Great Lakes Copper employees, carriers, contractors and visitors
- Prevent, observe, detect and report thefts, break-ins, vandalism, accidents and fire.

Education Requirements (All)
College/University Education
First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
