Site: Taylor Building - 275 Slater
Hours: Monday-Thursday 1500-2300
Overtime Method: Employee Standards Act (ESA)
Payrate: $18.67/hour

Overview:
275 Slater Street is a twenty-storey office building located at the northeast corner of Slater Street and Kent Street in downtown Ottawa. In the heart of Ottawa's downtown business district and steps away from Parliament Hill. Your 275 Slater Street community team provides on-site day to day support for your business and activities to engage your employees.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for the safety and security of the tenants, guests and complex
- Performing duties as required following guidelines set out in the Post Orders, by the client and the Security Manager
- Performing patrols
- Ensuring completion of all shift paperwork
- Patrolling of building and attached parking garage
- Maintaining site computer
- Completing all other assigned task
- Strong sense of integrity and professionalism
Requirements:
- Candidate must have completed Secondary School – Grade 12 or equivalent
- Candidate must have a valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Experience with computers at an intermediate level; programs include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
- Understands the importance of providing timely superior client services within the guidelines set out by the Post Orders
- Be able to work alone
- Be able to perform extensive patrolling
Job Requirements:
- Must have a valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Must be fluent in English, both written and oral
- Must have a valid First Aid & CPR - Level C certification (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Proof of (minimum) double COVID-19 vaccination
- Bilingual (French/English) considered an asset
- Able to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
- Moderate physical activity including standing and/or walking
- Management of Aggressive Behaviour and Use of Force Certification Paladin Security is willing to offer this certification on a commitment contract (minimum of six (6) months) for new hires upon Onboarding
- Paladin provides an opt-in certification program for applicants who are not currently certified prior to your Paladin onboarding. More details are available as requested during the interview
