Site Description:  Toronto Pearson International Airport is Canada's major airport and one of the busiest with approximately 456,000 flights and 44 million passengers travelling annually. It is also home to some world class shops, restaurants and services to cater to everyone's needs. 

   

Position Details:  

Position: Part Time (Temp) T3 Taxi Guard  

Site: Toronto Pearson Airport   

Hours: Saturday and Sunday (1500 - 2300)  

Payrate: $19.30/ an hour   

Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours  

Internal Posting Date: February 19th, 2026

Job Description:   

  • Provide vehicular and pedestrian traffic direction and control on the groundside area of the Airport by facilitating the movement of vehicular traffic
  • Comfortable working independently and working outside in all weather conditions
  • Direct commercial and public vehicles along their respective traffic lanes
  • Ensure the safe, orderly and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians on the Airport's terminal curbs and roadway
  • Institute regular patrols at various times each day in these areas and others, direct both vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and provide the public with relevant information
  • Ensure the separation of vehicles and pedestrians by controlling crosswalks, lane separations, areas designated by the GTAA from time to time
  • Enforce the "Traffic on Land Side of Airports Regulations", as may be amended, supplemented or replaced from time to time (collectively the 'TLSARs")
  • Issue the Parking Infraction Notices (PINs) in accordance with established training procedures. It is the intent that PINs be only issued as a final phase only, all possible methods of communications must be afforded before a PIN is issued
  • Attend court for the purpose of giving evidence on PINs issued by them
  • Anticipate and address areas of vehicular or pedestrian congestions and attempt to relieve the congestion
  • Respond to Charter Bus call-up requests and consults with other supported roles for placement of bus and tour groups
  • Assist passengers with boost requests by calling Tow Trucks;
  • Ensure work areas are clear of obstacles including baggage carts
  • Communicate for the purposes of towing of vehicles in contravention of the TLSARs which includes but not limited to:
    • Parked unattended within 50 meters of the terminal curbs
    • Violating the TLSARs and as such, has a PINs, reasonable time has elapsed since issuance, vehicle cleared by K-9
    • Obstructing traffic / access for emergency services
    • Leaking fuel that may pose a health or environmental hazard to the area, or persons in the area

 Prerequisites:   

  • Valid Ontario Security License
  • WSIB Approved First Aid and CPR Level C
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
  • English (oral and written) fluency is a must
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
  • Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
