Paycom's summer internship program for Software Developers offers an immersive experience into professional software development. You will work on real projects, gaining hands-on skills in full-stack development while collaborating with your team members, mentors and subject-matter experts to successfully build solutions using various industry technologies. You'll also have the opportunity to participate in Paycom's own Hackathon, Codeathon, volunteer opportunities and so much more!

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively contributes to the Research and Development leading to real enterprise-level solutions, gaining experience with multiple technologies.
  • Gains invaluable experience coding, testing, debugging and documenting software under mentorship of industry experts.
  • Partners with technology professionals such as developers, quality assurance, product managers and application support on software projects of all sizes.
  • Performs software development on a of variety of projects ranging from industry-wide services to client-specific reports and other interfacing technologies.
  • Makes any adjustments to code after testing is performed to ensure that it addresses testing concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education/Certification:

Currently pursuing a B.S./M.S. degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience:

  • Possess the ability to learn and understand business processes, and relationship of systems and applications used to accomplish those processes

 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient, analytical, decisive, troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to write clear instructions for end users
  • Professional curiosity and willing to learn with an open mind
  • High level of collaboration 

 

Preferred BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

  • Data Structures and core Computer Science, Computer Engineering or MIS
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming concepts
