Description

This individual is responsible for supporting all daily transmissions tasks and processes (EOD transmissions, tax, and same-day payrolls) to include partnering with Banking Leadership & Banking Ops as well as other all operations departments to ensure all payrolls are processed, funded, and transmitted. In addition to transmissions, this role will support Paycom's finance-related systems through troubleshooting and root cause analysis of system-related issues and outages to drive continuous improvement of the systems and related processes. This position requires an individual that can work well in a cross-functional team environment and collaborate to effectively accomplish tasks.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for processing and uploading daily ACH files, and verifying that all files were successfully transmitted and accepted by each bank
  • Assist Banking Leadership & technical teams in troubleshooting any issues that may arise in the ACH transmission process with the related bank and ensuring effective resolution
  • Oversee daily Payroll Processing Audits and necessary follow up actions
  • Monitors customer support and submits internal development tickets to provide timely support and resolution as required – troubleshoots, isolates and resolves critical issues by coordinating with App/Dev support teams as necessary; determines root cause of incidents and makes recommendations for prevention.
  • Performs ongoing administration of enterprise applications such as system configuration, user activation/deactivation and user provisioning. Supports the installation and testing of maintenance/patches and software upgrades.
  • Supports 3rd party software application systems utilized by Finance and Accounting teams, including integrations with internal systems and banking partners.
  • Reviews business requirements with product and technology teams to ensure understanding of transmissions requirements; participates in design discussions and ensures required functional specifications are delivered.
  • Adhere to operational controls, including applicable laws, rules and regulations impacting ACH services and policies
  • Assist Banking teams with various projects, risk mitigation tasks, and process improvements


Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS, IT or related field or 4+ years relevant experience at Paycom or in banking operations

Experience:

  • 1+ years of business systems, payroll processing/operations or ACH transmissions experience

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work offset schedule, as needed (example: 10am-7pm CST)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to use sound judgement and exercise sound decision making, specifically in time-sensitive, high pressure situations
  • Knowledge of:
    • NACHA operating rules and regulations
    • Change Management
    • Reporting tools including SQL is a plus
  • Proficient in business process analysis and process improvement efforts
  • Able to receive abstract concepts and general instructions to produce actionable results
  • Can evaluate critical systems, prioritize workflow and determine solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks
  • Works well in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Must be flexible and adapt quickly to change
  • Customer centric approach to problem resolution
