Position Summary:

The EMIS Manager will oversee the Environmental Management System, Penske's environmental compliance management system which supports over 700 Penske locations. This associate will be required to understand the purpose and functioning of an Environmental Management System as related their oversight of the web-based Environmental Management Information System. They will coordinate with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to develop, design, and successfully deliver on strategies that optimize overall environmental compliance.

In addition to overseeing EMIS, EMIS Manager will also work closely with Environmental Field Operations team in implementing and rolling out the new Environmental Management Information System company wide.

The EMIS Manager will also be responsible for developing required workflows, and reports that support current and future environmental regulatory processes. Current environmental regulatory process are as follows:

• Incident Management

• Compliance Management

• Air Management

• AST/UST Management

• Waste Management

• Regulatory Inspections

• Field Compliance

Major Responsibilities:

EMIS Ownership

  • The EMIS Manager will oversee Penske's primary web-based compliance management system which supports over 700 Penske locations and approximately $1 Billion in annual spend on parts and tires.

EMIS System and Process Support

  • The EMIS Manager will oversee and work closely with the Environmental Department to ensure all input data in the new compliance management system is current and correct at all times, all compliance requirement information is current and correct at all times and all reports are current and correct at all times.

EMIS (EMIS Subject Matter Experts) Support Process

  • This level of responsibility will be required to be competent in all aspects of the EMIS functionality including but not limited to related processes and procedures of site management, compliance management, auditing.

Data Administration

  • EMIS Manager will also work closely with Environmental Department in implementing and rolling out the new Environmental Management system including the EMIS and any related environmental policies and procedures.

Reports and Analytics

  • This associate will also ensure any adhoc parts reporting requirements from the field are addressed promptly.

Training

  • The EMIS Manager of Systems and Analytics will oversee all training, consolidated reporting, and subject matter expert support for all users of the compliance management system.

Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences or related fields preferred. If no degree, equivalent work experience is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years experience utilizing and oversight with web-based environmental management information systems required.
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in environmental compliance management in the fuels industry.
  • Professional communication both written and verbal.
  • Advanced knowledge in Environmental Compliance Management.
  • Has a solid understanding in Data Management and Technology.
  • Ability to work well independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision; strong sense of urgency.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
