Power Systems, a subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies, is seeking an Account Manager to conduct in a defined territory and be fully responsible for managing the customer relationship.  This person will be deeply involved in the coordination of activities to ensure customer satisfaction.  This position will operate in the upper Mid-West region.

More About Your Role:

We are looking for someone that has the ability to work with the customer to design, troubleshoot, and support complex hydraulic and electronic systems in the mobile hydraulic marketplace. This job entails many tasks from designing systems and specifying components to managing the complete commercial aspect of sales for specified customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to create solutions to solve problems
  • Support existing customers as well as cold calling new accounts
  • Collaborate with suppliers to create the best value for our customers (pricing/unique options/extreme operation validation)
  • Collaborate with product managers within Power Systems to develop system solutions and value add offerings to support customers' goal

·             Coordinate all activities (pricing/projects/support/quality/etc.) with customers

·             Develop territory sales forecast

·             Communicate opportunities and activities in CRM

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills including verbal, e-mail composition, and telephone skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Good presentation skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite products
  • Able to multitask on complex tasks

Preferred:

  • Two year technical degree in Fluid Power or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Fluid power industry experience
