Job Summary
Supports the Office of Research Services in the planning, implementation and analysis of efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of processes critical to conducting clinical research, implements technology solutions/systems for the administrative review and approval of research projects to ensure compliance with regulations and institution policies. Facilitates continuous improvement of research administration workflows by reporting on key metrics and other evaluation data. Develops training materials and tools to promote compliance and best practices.Accountabilities
Program Management:
Ensures program compliance with key regulatory or national oversight groups. Manages research inventory. Develops policies and procedures for program implementation. Coordinates short term and special projects. Represents Office of Research Services on committees, task forces, and work groups. Delivers program presentations as requested. 25%
Training:
Coordinates training opportunities for internal and external groups. Develops and delivers program training modules. Oversees intern activities. 20%
Communication:
Serves as the main contact for departmental inquiries. Acts as liaison between department and investigators / study teams. Communicates program policies and procedures to internal and external partners. 20%
Database Management:
Collaborates with cross-functional team to facilitate communication and status updates across information systems. Emphasis is on the optimal use of technology to track progress reports. 15%
Data Collection, Analysis, & Evaluation:
Design and refine data collection methods to demonstrate program and impact. Collect and analyze data in preparation for standardized program reports. Coordinates routine program data team meetings or review sessions. 20%
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
3 years - research coordination / administration or project management
In Lieu Of
In Lieu of the education and experience listed above, an additional 2 years of research experience or an additional 3 to 4 years of relevant experience.

Lead or Coordinator experience
