Our nursing team plays a critical role in ensuring exceptional patient experiences, safe care delivery, and smooth hospital operations. As an RN House Supervisor, you'll serve as a key resource across the hospital—connecting teams, supporting staff, and ensuring patients receive timely, appropriate care.
What You Will DoAs the RN House Supervisor / Patient Care Operations Coordinator, you will act as the central point of coordination for hospital operations during your shift. This is a highly visible role that blends clinical expertise, operational oversight, and real-time decision-making.
Schedule: 6pm - 6:30am; 12 hour shifts; every 3rd weekend*Must have an Active RN License and BSN is required
Key responsibilities include:
- Patient Flow & Throughput:
Oversee bed placement and patient movement throughout the hospital to ensure efficient, safe, and timely care - Operational Leadership:
Coordinate across nursing units, ED, surgical services, and ancillary departments to maintain smooth hospital operations - Staffing & Resource Management:
Adjust staffing levels based on patient acuity and census; collaborate with leaders to ensure appropriate coverage - Clinical Support:
Provide hands-on support during high-acuity or urgent situations and serve as a clinical resource to staff - Problem Solving & Escalation:
Respond to real-time challenges, patient concerns, and operational issues with sound judgment and urgency - Hospital-Wide Presence:
Act as the on-site administrative resource, offering direction, support, and coordination to ensure safe, efficient care delivery

- Licensure: Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (or actively pursuing)
- Experience:
- Several years of acute care nursing experience required
- Prior charge nurse, supervisor, or leadership experience strongly preferred
- Certifications: BLS required (ACLS preferred)
- Skills:
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
- Ability to lead in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Confidence in managing complex patient flow and staffing decisions
