Field and Demand Generation Marketing Manager, Japan - Tokyo

Why We Have This Role

Are you looking for a role that challenges both your creative skills as well as your analytical abilities? We're looking for an experienced Japan Field & Demand Generation Marketing Manager who has exceptional experience in managing and running field marketing within Japan. This person will be focused on building the Qualtrics brand within Japan, alongside developing quality leads,  pipeline and revenue for our sales team.

This person would be part of our growing APJ marketing team and have support from global and regional marketing functions. We are looking for someone who is exceptional with partnering with sales to understand the market and co-develop the marketing strategy. Our field activities consist of ABM programs, Partner Marketing, Scale marketing programs and events (all types being digital events, 3rd party sponsorships, own hosted events which can range from 10 people to 2,500!) Additionally, you will work in partnership with other marketing functions including campaigns, digital, content, communications and PR to provide strategic guidance on Japan specific needs.

  • Must have strategic acumen and execution skills, and a deep understanding of personalization, creating memorable experiences through events, demand generation, and revenue attribution. 
  • Strong attention to detail, project management and organization skills with the ability to independently manage multiple initiatives at once
  • Innovative; ability to bring new ideas and provide fresh perspectives on current field processes
  • Results-oriented with experience using qualitative and quantitative metrics with a focus on revenue, conversion, sales, and other marketing goals
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and interpersonal skills required.

Things You'll Do

  • Strategy Development. Design and implement the field marketing strategy for Japan, collaborating closely with the local sales team to create targeted campaigns and events. Manage the marketing budget effectively to ensure optimal allocation of resources across initiatives.
  • Campaign Execution. Oversee the end-to-end management of various events, including seminars, trade shows, webinars, and executive round tables, ensuring meticulous planning and post-event follow-ups. Collaborate with the APJ and Global marketing teams' to adapt and localise global marketing programmes for Japan, ensuring high-quality execution.
  • Field Marketing Content Creation. Develop and localise engaging marketing content, including white papers, brochures, website copy, case studies, sales presentations, and blogs that resonate with audiences in Japan.
  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM). Lead ABM efforts by identifying key target accounts and developing tailored marketing assets and campaigns to effectively engage those accounts.
  • Ecosystem Marketing. Work with the APJ Ecosystem Marketing lead to develop tailored marketing assets and campaigns to drive growth and revenue  through Japan partners
  • Performance Analysis. Analyse marketing activity results and refine strategies to enhance engagement, lead quality, and overall programme effectiveness. Set and track metrics for campaign success, striving to deliver a significant contribution to the pipeline and revenue through marketing initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration. Forge strong relationships with the sales team to ensure marketing strategies align with sales objectives, optimising collaboration on campaigns and events. Work closely with digital marketing, PR, and content teams to support integrated marketing initiatives.

 

What We're Looking For On Your Resume

  • At least 10  years of hands-on experience in B2B marketing, particularly within a SaaS environment, with a proven track record in field marketing.
  • Strong expertise in event management, partner marketing, abm, demand generation, and revenue attribution.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling capabilities to convey complex ideas clearly and connect with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in marketing technologies, particularly Salesforce.com and Marketo.
  • A detail-oriented and creative problem-solver with a genuine passion for building campaigns and generating leads.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Fluent in English and Japanese
