We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Worker at our Barrhead, AB facility.  As a Maintenance Worker, you are responsible for general maintenance, including the facility site, buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
• Troubleshoot, fabricate, repair and install mechanical equipment/parts in accordance with established procedures.
• Works within maintenance and interdepartmental teams when required.
• Practice and enforce plant safety and food safety standards
• Responds to after-hours emergency calls on a rotational basis.
• Investigate all reports of mechanical and operational problems in the Mill
• Communicate with management any failures found in the Mill

Qualifications:

• Proven mechanical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Knowledge of maintenance practices, preventative and predictive maintenance

• Perform work orders, unscheduled maintenance, and task forms with appropriate documentation.

• Strong computer, math, electrical, welding, plumbing and pipe fitting skills

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively

• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed

• Must be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs

• Journeyman Red Seal Millwright, Heavy Duty Mechanic or Ag Mechanic certification considered an asset?

• Previous food or feed production facility experience is considered an asset.
