Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Diagnostic Radiology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: The Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks an Interventional Radiologist. Roswell Park has a growing IR practice primarily oriented to Interventional Oncology looking to add a fifth fellowship trained radiologist. Our practice currently consists of four interventionalists, and five procedural and clinical-oriented physician assistants. Our services include venous access, transcatheter therapies, ablations, and CT and US guided biopsies in addition to general IR services. We offer cutting edge technology including Aliya PEF ablation and histotripsy. The position is 100% interventional radiology within a department of 27 fellowship trained radiologists. We provide state of the art equipment including three fully functional angiography suites in addition to CT, US, and fluoroscopy procedural rooms; an experienced and stable technical staff; a dedicated 16 bed pre-procedural and recovery area; and a highly collegial environment.
Roswell Park is an NIH designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with a long history of patient centered care and innovation with a strong relationship to the Western New York Community and surrounding area. We are associated with a basic science research center and maintain many collaborative relationships with multiple clinical departments. Through our association with the University at Buffalo medical school, we participate in medical education including the University of Buffalo Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program and work extensively with medical and surgical fellows. While there are numerous opportunities for research, our section is primarily clinically oriented.
Roswell Park is part of the thriving Buffalo Medical Corridor and enjoys the benefits of the ongoing revitalization of the city core which offers an active restaurant scene, world class symphony and art museums, renowned architecture, and historic tree lined neighborhoods. The immediate surrounding area offers extensive outdoor opportunities for boating, hiking, and skiing to take full advantage of the northeast's four seasons and the Toronto metro area is a short drive away.
Candidates must be board eligible and have a fellowship in Interventional Radiology, preferable ABR certification and be able to meet medical licensure requirements in New York State. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

License and Certification Requirement
1. License to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York.
2. Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in Diagnostic Imaging or the specialties of Body Imaging, Diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Neuroradiology or Angio/Interventional Radiology.
Education and Experience
Medical Doctor degree and prior full-time experience in the field of Diagnostic Imaging or the specialties of Body Imaging, Diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Neuroradiology, or Angio/Interventional Radiology.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ABA board eligible or fellowship in IR, IR-DR track
