Title: Mobile Screening Unit Driver/Registrar

Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Mobile Breast & Prostate Unit Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: Variable (United States of America) Summary: Drives the mobile screening unit to community locations and serves as a patient registrar for the unit. Driver's primary duties include safely operating a heavy-duty truck, transporting mobile screening vehicles to various locations, following all traffic laws and safety regulations, properly securing the vehicle during trips to and from Roswell Park, performs pre- and post-trip inspections, maintains detailed logs of driving hours, and communicates with dispatchers to ensure timely delivery of the unit; involves on occasion loading and unloading cargo. Performs duties as a registrar, includes check-in/out procedures for patients on multiple provider's schedules, collection, verification and system entry of patient and insurance information, distribution of data, collection of copays and appointment scheduling. Qualifications: Required Education and ExperienceLicense Requirement
1. Valid New York State Driver's License; and
2. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and one (1) year of full-time experience in a medical office setting.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
You will hold a valid New York State Driver's License as well as a Class A Commercial Driver's License. You must have experience in customer service and scheduling, along with proficiency in using various types of equipment, such as card machines and computers. You must have dependable and consistently reliable work ethic.
