SAIC seeks a working professional to support the NORAD NORTHCOM Information Technology Enterprise Services (NITES) contract to perform duties as a Circuit / Datacenter Actions Manager. In this role you will be responsible for representing our deep commitment to defending our homeland as a representative of the Mission Services Division (J66). Our customer is located at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. This is a self-starter position, and you will manage your own workload based on customer priorities. You will serve as an interface between the on-site government management organization, various support contractors and mission partners. As part of your responsibilities, you will be responsible for actioning and briefing at an executive level customer requirement, project prioritization and execution; deliverables include system, circuit statues, circuit history, data flow diagrams related to circuits based on current diagrams; modernized datacenter responsibilities may include at a general level the overall environmental statues of datacenters; general activities within scope of the contract as Datacenter projects; Overall general power requirements;  and other reports aligned to terrestrial, internal, and external circuit actions aligned to the NORAD NORTHCOM (N&NC) enterprise.

This position requires minimal physical activity. Such activities include ability to reach overhead, squat, bend at the waist; ability to lift boxes of 25lbs. or more; ability to utilize stairs or elevators to attend meetings; ability to sit or stand at your desk for a period of 8 hours; ability to tolerate working inside; ability to be available for minimal after call support as required.

Qualifications

  • BS plus 4 years experience or HS plus 8 years of experience. 
  • Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI. 
  • Plan, organize, and oversee assignments directed by NITES managers and daily execution of work to ensure that customer requirements are accomplished on time, to projects' timeline.
  • Act as the primary Circuit Actions Manager using DISA Storefront and other available authorized DoD software, MAVEN, Mission Assurance Decision Support System (MADSS).
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding projects, circuit actions and network diagrams to include rack, transport, and or vocal cues.
  • Ability to perform technical reviews of engineering network drawings and design, analyses, or specifications to ensure compliance with project objectives or standards.
  • Ability to track all circuit actions for the N&NC Enterprise in accordance with AFMAN 17-2101 and create and maintain circuit history folders and a circuit database for all circuits and services provisioned through DISA and all other venues. This includes the bi-annual verification of all active or funded circuits supporting N&NC, including verification of subordinate units.
  • Ability to ensure that all active and requested circuit information is made available to the network service owners as needed in accordance with DISA Circular (DISAC) 310-55-9.7. Provide DISA with access to the DISA network nodes inside of N&NC data centers on a 24/7/365 basis.
  • Ensure all Telecommunications Request are validated prior to submission of circuit action additions, changes, or deletions to DISA, Air Force Network Integration Center (AFNIC), and other agencies.
  • Ability to monitor and report on the capacity of all N&NC data centers including power, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, environmental systems, cabling/wiring systems, rack space management, data center diagrams and labeling. 
  • The contractor shall coordinate with the facilities staff for all datacenter management issues, work orders, and improvements; and ensure the cleanliness and orderly appearance of all data centers and communications closets owned by N&NC.
  • Coordinate with and assist non-N&NC J6 entities (e.g., DISA, Installation Communications Squadron, partner Government agencies, and/or partner nation military personnel) with their requirements in N&NC data centers. Provide rack space, cabling support, labeling instructions, and diagraming instructions that enable communications requirements, while also meeting N&NC J66 datacenter management standards.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
