SAIC is seeking a highly motivated Cloud Engineer SME to join our CloudOne team on the Government A1 Enclave by CloudOne project. The Air Force CloudOne Program is an existing global, interconnected, virtualized hybrid, and IT infrastructure that hosts mission systems, applications, services, and data in support of DoD Services and Agencies. SAIC CloudOne incorporates the capabilities of Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and DevSecOps principles to provide common services and facilitate cloud application migrations to cloud environments.

 

This candidate will be part of a team working with Government Stakeholders responsible for the architecture design, planning, management, support, and oversight of the A1 CloudOne Infrastructure. The A1 team will configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems to proactively identify and resolve operational, tooling and process inefficiencies. 

On-Call critical support may be required for afterhours support. The candidate will collaborate with the customer to determine root cause analysis and corrective actions. This is a remote work position that may be performed from any location within the United States.

 

Responsibilities to include:

• Performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications for cloud computing environments. 
• Develops specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings. 
• Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards to ensure an integrated architecture across a DoD environment. Begins to influence department's strategy. 
• Makes decisions complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. 
• Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.  

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

Required Qualifications:

• An active Interim Secret clearance, Secret clearance (or higher) is required

• Required Certifications: - Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570.01-M IAT
• Current experience with AWS/GPS or other Cloud environment, APIs, accelerators, DevSecOps
• Experience working in a team environment with the ability to mentor junior team members
• Knowledge of and experience working with DevSecOps tool chains. 
• Required Certifications: - Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570.01-M IAT

 

Desired Qualification:

• Experience interacting with government customers is preferred but not required

• Deep understanding of Cloud computing technologies and workload transition challenges 
• Understanding of Cloud computing
• Workload transition in the cloud
• Current experience with AWS, APIs, accelerators, DevSecOps
• Cloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP) and strong architecture experience on Cloud a plus
• Experienced with large scale technology platforms

• CISSP, CCSP, SSCP certifications a plus

• Auth0 knowledge

• Ticketing system (ServceNow, Remedy, other)
• Soft Skills/Phone
• Agile methodology experience/SAFe/SCRUM/ACP/VPN
• ITIL foundations
• Okta knowledge a plus
• Experience working in a team environment with the ability to mentor junior team members.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
