SAIC is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Configuration Management Specialist to support the Medium Range Intercept Controller (MRIC) Expeditionary Launcher (MEL) project. These services are in support of MEL subsystems, components, equipment and integrated electronics operations in support of tasks managed by NSWC Crane Division, Expeditionary C3 & Cyber Division. The MEL system falls under the purview of the Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) Program Office.

 

In this role, you will apply your expertise in provide in the areas of technical data support, integrated logistics support, configuration management, management support services, and data management support. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with customers, and other stakeholders to facilitate deliverable success, including but not limited to event coordination, technical document review and processing, and other related operational tasks.
  • Provide administrative and technical support for briefings, reviews, and conferences, managing schedules, materials, and coordination of the requirements to deliver exceptional results.
  • Use the Government-designated Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, PTC Windchill, to manage all configuration items, engineering drawings, models, and associated technical data generated or modified Assist with documentation and process improvement efforts, leveraging data to identify and recommend opportunities for optimization.
  • Ensure deliverables meet established Navy and DoD standards, including document formatting, serial number assignment, and compliance adherence.
  • Facilitate technical data management tasks and generate accurate, quality-controlled technical reports, correspondence, and materials.
  • Proactively coordinate meetings and agendas, document key action items, track progress, and communicate milestones.
  • provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for the MEL system/project. ILS services will be focused on ECP development as well as production and deployment of the MEL systems. Primary logistical documentation impacted as a part of the ECP process includes Technical Manuals, Logistics Management Information (LMI), and Stock List Level 3 (SL3).
  • Provide support related to Technical Manuals development, updates, and delivery in compliance with MIL-STD-38784 and the Marine Corps Style Guide SG-1A. The native source files for all Technical Manuals shall be delivered in Adobe Frame Maker 10.0 or a Government-approved equivalent format

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant professional experience OR High School diploma/GED with 6+ years of experience in acquisitions, configuration management, or a related field.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in configuration management, stakeholder engagement, or schedule/data management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder collaboration across teams.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn, adapt, and thrive in dynamic environments where priorities may shift.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Teams).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.

 

Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with PTC Windchill and PLM
  • Experience in Adobe Frame Maker 10.0.
  • Experience with SharePoint or similar tools for data tracking and configuration management.
  • Possession of an active DoD Security Clearance.
