SAIC is hiring an Enterprise Architect (EA) to provide expertise in translating strategy into future enterprise architecture and a transition plan. This role supports business transformation and EA implementation using techniques like business process decomposition, information engineering, organizational redesign, and IT strategy. Responsibilities include assisting in strategy development, capital planning, portfolio management, and operations. The architect will design and maintain current and future views of the enterprise architecture, advises on technology selection, analyze potential changes, and ensure compliance with EA policies. Collaboration with subject matter experts and the application of EA frameworks like FEAC, TOGAF, or DoDAF, and tools such as ARIS, are essential.
This role will be 100% remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enterprise Architecture Planning:
- Translate strategy into future-state architecture and transition plans.
- Design and maintain views and data of enterprise architecture.
- Implementation Support:
- Assist in organizational strategy, capital planning, and portfolio management.
- Use multi-disciplinary techniques for EA implementation.
- Technology Assessment:
- Research and recommend technologies.
- Provide analyses of potential EA changes.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure EA policy compliance through reviews and analyses.
- Oversee quality programs, systems, and processes.
- Collaboration:
- Coordinate with experts and other architects.
- Reflect reengineered processes in the EA.
- Frameworks and Tools:
- Apply EA frameworks like FEAC, TOGAF, or DoDAF.
- Utilize EA tools such as ARIS.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field with 9 years of work experience or Masters degree and 7 years of work experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in enterprise architecture, IT strategy, and related disciplines.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level architecture solutions.
- Extensive experience with EA frameworks such as TOGAF, DoDAF, and FEAF.
- Hands-on experience with EA tools such as ARIS, Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect, or similar.
- Experience with IT infrastructure, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and network design.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary techniques such as business process modeling, information engineering, and organizational redesign.
- Proficiency in various programming languages and tools, such as Python, Java, SQL, and Enterprise Service Buses (ESBs).
- In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture and services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.
- Ability to analyze and integrate complex systems and technologies into cohesive EA strategies.
- Analytical Skills:
- Expertise in conducting gap analysis, current state assessments, and future state planning.
- Ability to research emerging technologies and assess their relevance and potential impact on enterprise architecture.
- Skills in performing cost-benefit analysis and developing business cases for architectural initiatives.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with senior leadership and technical teams.
- Strong leadership abilities to guide cross-functional teams in EA implementation.
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address complex technical challenges.
- Clearance and Certifications:
- Secret clearance.
- US citizenship.
- Security + certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related technical field.
- Professional certifications such as TOGAF Certified, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar.
- Experience with federal enterprise architecture frameworks and regulatory compliance.
- Background in designing IT security architecture and implementing security best practices.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience in agile project management.
- Proven track record of leading digital transformation and modernization projects.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
