The Air Force and Combatant Commands Business Group of SAIC is seeking an Enterprise Architect to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.
SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation's information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.
Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).
Job Description:
The Enterprise Solutions Architect supports the analysis, integration strategy and integration approach for diverse and complex components of this DoD customer's contract. The Enterprise Architect is expected to perform hands-on capture of architecture artifacts. The EA should also have experience in Cloud architecture capture. The EA will help drive the design, implementation, and management of advanced cloud solutions in support of DSCA, including modern cloud technologies and security, compliance, and scalable infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the Lead Enterprise Architect in business planning and strategy by focusing on business capabilities and maturity. Help identify customer needs, services and core mission with best-in-class technology to define a target state.
- Researches and develops component and architecture documents and plans.
- Provides recommendations and technical input on customer's documents.
- Analyzes architectures (Business, Enterprise, Segment/Solution), processes and existing enterprise IT to identify and recommend architecture, IT, or process changes; provides recommendations regarding the customer's organization and functions.
- Identifies/evaluates emerging technology and industry trends, providing actionable recommendations to enhance strategies, potential architectural and capability impacts. Capture artifacts to assist/lead/validate and obtain buy-in for recommendations for future enhancements to ensure long-term adaptability of the enterprise.
- Capture artifacts to assist/lead/validate planning, design, testing, and deployment of enterprises initiatives, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
- Capture artifacts to assist/lead/validate functional design specifications, project plans, integrated system test requirements, and documentation.
- Analyze architectures and provide recommendations on improvements in Performance and Resource Management; proactively identify gaps and optimize system operations.
- Capture/sustain scalable/extensible architectures that support evolving technological needs and mission-critical applications.
- Capture security protocols, backup procedures, and disaster recovery strategies to maintain compliance with DoD and federal standards.
- Capture “As-Is”, “To-Be” and “Transformational” architectures to meet DoD-specific security and compliance requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD standards).
- Ability to collaborate with government, architects, system engineers, third-party vendors, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to align solutions with mission objectives and technical requirements.
- Identify roadblocks/opportunities and ensures architecture can be implemented both securely and reliably; capture artifacts to improve the tools and environments that service the customer's workforce; coordinate with security teams to ensure continuous monitoring and improvement of security measures; coordinate with metrics team.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS with nine (9) or more years of experience.
- Top Secret clearance (SCI eligible).
- Experience in Department of Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Zachman, Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA), and/or Federal Enterprise Architecture.
- Working experience with Architecture capture applications (e.g. Sparx EA, Cameo).
- Proven experience in capturing business, enterprise AND solutions architectures.
- Proven experience working in a collaborative environment. Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to coordinate with diverse teams and build and manage relationships.
- Demonstrated experience performing analysis of capabilities/activities/systems/services performance, gaps and overlaps.
- Experience with Cloud architecture including virtualization, containerization, and modern cloud management tools, security protocols and compliance standards relevant to DoD contracting, strong background in capturing cloud infrastructures, with a clear understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
