SAIC is seeking a Facilities Engineer to support a major Federal Government customer in Harrogate, England. The selected candidate will provide facilities engineering, project management, and technical oversight across a portfolio of mission critical facilities. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

The Facilities Engineer will serve as a primary interface between government stakeholders, design and construction partners, and operations and maintenance (O&M) contractors. The role encompasses all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements development, programming, design, construction, commissioning, and project closeout.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with Government representatives at multiple organizational levels to ensure alignment of project objectives.
Oversee A/E firms and O&M contractors to ensure compliance with scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
Support resource planning, document control, and integration with site O&M activities.
Develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimates and support budget formulation.
Plan, monitor, and execute complex engineering tasks associated with multimillion dollar projects.
Conduct design reviews, manage RFIs and submittals, and support design approval processes.
Prepare project status reports and adjust plans as required to maintain contract compliance.
Supervise, plan and actively participate in the Factory Acceptance Test and Integrated Factory Acceptance Tests with customers.
Participate in root cause analysis activities and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 13 years of experience. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Knowledge of facility operations, maintenance procedures, and site level project planning and prioritization.
- Understanding of Critical Infrastructure and ability to assess reliability based on reviewing historical data, reports, or interviewing technical/non-technical personnel familiar with such assets or components (i.e., power generators, utility production and distribution, chilled water plants, data centers, etc.).
- Ability to estimate and produce a rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost estimates for facility project planning and programming.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/taskings and competing resources.
- Demonstrated project management skills associated with managing performance, budget, schedules, and adhering to control gates.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to team with industry partners.
